Helium
Helium is a colourless gas that is created inside stars when hydrogen atoms combine. It is found on Earth in natural gas deposits and in very small amounts in the air. Helium is used to fill balloons, MRI scanners, and in scientific research because it does not react easily. Its periodic table cell shows it has an atomic number of 2 and is a noble gas, meaning it is very stable.
